Description: Royal Grounds is a pseudo "chain" operation, meaning they are all owned by one guy at the top, but all the stores have "co-owners", or partners, who work at and are usually at the store. Plus, there are only about 15 in the Bay Area. The owner made all the furniture and shelves from the same company, so almost every RG you find looks kind of like the others you were in. The one on Fillmore is the largest, and always packed. A nice place to read the paper or join a conversation. Alas, Fillmore is now a Yuppie Street, and about half the customers in the Fillmore location are snobs on cellphones or Princesses comparing lipstick. Still a cool place though. There is a Pete's and a Starbucks across the street, and most of the Yuppies stay over there, I guess this place get's the overflow.
