This place is hidden away around the corner from the main streets, which rates it highly in my book. The wall facing the street is a huge glass sliding door which is open in the summer, and there are trees between it and the street, so one can sit inside and not even notice the traffic. There are also tables and chairs on the sidewalk outside. Even though this is old-world themed cafe, they usually play soft techno / ambient music in the background. One can find magazines and newspapers from the Czech Republic here, the staff is all Czech, and the clientele are usually locals quietly talking and drinking coffee. Of all the coffee shops in the city, for atmosphere, cleanliness and staff, I give the Cafe Prague the2nd top spot. Only because the Muni bus roars by every 10 minutes, and there is always traffic backed up on the small 1 lane street, filling the place with the smell exhaust. Also, the moron drivers always honking their horns. Hard to relax.
